the world is so big
life, is so big
it’s all so much bigger than me, or you
or us, or this
problem.
this infinitesimal problem
(in the grand scheme // in the bigness of things // life)
between us.
can we just
let it
go?
can we just, look out
on the horizon
and see the birds
dancing in the sunset
and really see them
until we realize that this
really isn’t
as important as we are making it to be
in our heads.
can we just be?
can we meet in the quiet stillness, the infinite
stillness
between two souls
watching this all play out like a national geographic feature
moved, by the violence
the grief, the profound
beauty
of nature
mine and yours.
((or shall we keep playing the humans, eyes glued to this moment, turning it, again & again?))
